How do I join? If you want to know more about joining Wardlaw's, the best thing to do is get in touch with us directly, either at info@wardlawsdragoones.co.uk or through our Facebook page. That way we can arrange meet up with you and give you the full Wardlaw's experience. Some other things you might want to know are: What uniform/equipment will I need to get started? Nothing straight away, as the regiment will source some kit that you can borrow for your first couple of musters. Your Wardlaw's doublet needs to be obtained through the regiment to ensure that it is to the correct specifications. Will I have to go to every event? No. Our unofficial regimental motto is "Est solum amabam" (It is only a hobby). You can come to as many or as few musters as you wish, although certain musters will be highlighted in regimental communications as ones that Wardlaw's are making a particular effort to attend. How old do I have to be to join? To join as an Individual Member in your own right, you have to be 18 years old. However, 16-18 year olds can join with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Below 16 years you have to join as family members with the parent or legal guardian. No one under the age of 16 years is allowed onto the actual battlefield. How much does it cost? To see the current membership fees and the online application form, simply visit The Sealed Knot Society New Member Page The SK does not charge you to attend each individual event. The membership fee covers you for as many events as you can come to. However, if you aren't quite sure whether this is for you or not, you can apply for temporary membership that will last for one muster. It currently costs £20 for an individual or £30 for a family, but if you then decide that this is the hobby for you the price will be deducted from your full membership fee for the rest of that season (This reduction only applies if full membership is taken out in the same calendar year).
