An early contender I'm sure you'll agree:

I thought I'd escaped but it looks as though someone up in one of the towers had their eye on me:

Not as impressive as Rob's, I just look a bit inconvenienced!

You don't even look like you're being killed, more like it all just got a bit too much and you decided to sit down for a bit!

Well, I am nearly 30 you know!

By that point I'd already done my dramatic AAARGGHH!! and I was figuring out how the hell I was going to get up again and get out of the way!

The only real casualty of the whole episode was the wicker fence that ran across the gap and ended up in lots of tiny pieces.

Amazing - this is the first time I've opened this that the piccies have appeared. I can see what you're all on about now!

I can hardly remember "nearly 30" (other than I'd been re-enacting for nearly 8 years by then). Shocked

My only consolation is that there's at least one person older than me still in the regiment. Very Happy

I'd done fourteen years behind the colours by my 30th birthday.

Still not as many as some of the officers of the seventeenth century.

If you look at this the right way:

I'm going to stop here before this thread degenerates into a full rendition of Blackadder II's Potato episode.
