I'm doing a lesson in kit at school next week and I'd like some musket balls to show the kids. Anyone got any, or know where they can be bought? |

They're probably not awfentik but I thought they'd be less of an H&S risk with young people.
Besides, I'd like to show them how musketeers got green teeth without getting, um, green teeth!
In the absence of any others they might be useful though... |

I too have some genuine lead ones (recovered from a battle-field site) I can loan. Send your address and they are yours to borrow.
My orders from Nigel though are, for H&S reasons I am not allowed to let the MOPs handle them due to their high lead content. Same restriction will apply if I lend them. Sorry. |

Someone would have to prise them off of me first!
Back to musket balls - if I had a bullet mould I could use the Prince August modelling metal I've got lying around. Might have a rummage through the antiques places on the barbican. |

Just watch for bore size. The majority of moulds are pistol rather than musket sized.
Speak to Mssers Crates I know they have a mould. |
