Caldicot at Easter and Basing House for August Bank Holiday. Reasonably close for the majority of us and certainly not as far as York for the more south-westerly amongst us.
I know that Easter at Caldicot holds bad memories tent-wise for some. _________________ Martin |

There are rumours of a Plymouth major doing the rounds at the moment - we will prepare a rota for our shower accordingly!
There are are also tremendous rumblings in Prussia... |

although that might have something to do with the sausages!
(You line 'em up son and I'll knock 'em in)
Looks like a good start and end to the season. |

I loved Caldicot last time around. The battlefield was really varied and made for a much more interesting battle (Hedges!)
Apparently the beer tent is being provided by the same people as did the last one, in which case we perhaps ought to aim to spend a bit more time in it and get our faces seen. |

If it's as cold as last Caldicot I'm still in favour of a nice warm pub a few minutes walk away. _________________ Martin |

Afraid that I have to agree with Martin on this one. |

The Caldicot beer tent is fantastic. And warm... |

I remember Caldicot at Easter in '88. It was so cold we had to burn Mod's (an old Carr pikey) toilet roll to keep warm. He was not best pleased. _________________ "...I've seen a lot fierce battles in my time, but I've seldom seen a pikeman actually kill someone." - Johann Jakob Christoffel von Grimmelshausen |
